A Message from the CEO
Dear Customers, Channel Partners, Technology Partners and Colleagues,
These are exciting and challenging times. I regularly share a saying with our employees: “The only easy day was yesterday.”
We are all managing a vastly changing landscape in Public Safety. Regardless of your particular focus, there are many factors at stake—funding, evolving standards, the right suppliers. We each have our list.
What I encourage our employees to do is embrace the need to transform. My guidance is to listen to understand and listen to communicate. How we react defines us and, at the home of VESTA®, we strive to react by listening to you.
Since my last message in our June newsletter, we have made great progress at the home of VESTA on many fronts, most exciting of all is the transformation underway in our 9-1-1 business with the introduction of VESTA® NEXT. As the tagline says, it’s created to be “Your Way to NG9-1-1.”
We know from listening to you that the migration to NG9-1-1 is no small feat. There are many moving parts and questions—the most pervasive ones being, “Who provides the components?” and “How will they come together successfully? Or will they at all?”
The move to NG9-1-1 involves many partners and providers, creating the potential for miscommunication, delays and system incompatibilities. We created VESTA NEXT to eliminate that by bringing you the critical components and the long-standing expertise - all from one trusted source, the home of VESTA.
The VESTA NEXT portfolio is comprised of IP Call Handling through VESTA® 9-1-1 and VESTA® SMS; Call Routing with VESTA® Router and Next Generation Core Services; ESInet design and creation; and GIS Services. We have also achieved Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) status in multiple states, in order to build PSAPs’ in-region or in-state networks. You can read more here.
