Diana is an Airbus DS Communications Solutions Engineer for NG9-1-1 Core Services. She joined the home of VESTA® team in 2012, bringing her ten plus years of rich experience in Public Safety, specifically in GIS for 9-1-1 and Emergency Preparedness GIS creating elegant maps that responders could trust and rely on.
Diana earned an interdisciplinary Bachelor's of Science degree in Soil and Water Science from the University of Florida and is a graduate of URISA's GIS Leadership Academy. Currently Diana is an active member of several past and current NENA Workgroups focusing on GIS and NG9-1-1 including the NG9-1-1 GIS Data Model, Site/Structure Address Point, Forest Guide; and ECRF/LVF Provisioning Workgroups. Recently Diana was selected to be a Co-Chair of the new NENA Workgroup GIS Data Stewardship for NG9-1-1.

This session helps PSAPs clear the fog and offers a brand new look at how to develop a manageable strategy to full Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1). The 9 Steps to NG9-1-1- defines the diverse stages that must occur along with the specific activities and benefits for each stage. PSAPs walk away feeling they are more in control of what they need to do to move from a legacy E9-1-1 system to NG9-1-1 in a timeframe that works for their center and budget.
Leading a team of highly experienced solutions architects, Michael is responsible for Airbus DS Communications' next generation 9-1-1 enterprise systems, network design and engineering. Since joining Airbus DS Communications in 2000, Michael has served in leadership roles on the company’s largest and most complex projects.
But leadership is nothing new for Michael who had 23 years of public safety experience before coming to Airbus as the Director of Technical Services for the City of Boston’s EMS.
He was also appointed by the governor as a founding member of the Massachusetts Statewide Emergency Telecommunications Board, where he was instrumental in the development and implementation of the state's first Enhanced 911 technical and operational standards and the deployment of Massachusetts’ 268 public access safety points.
Michael been a member of the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) since 1987, serving as president of the Massachusetts NENA chapter and Board of Officers. Michael was awarded the E911 Institute's Industry Professional Award in 2008. He has also been an active member of the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials International (APCO) since 1986 and received APCO’s highest membership honor in 2001 and the APCO Presidential Award for 2008 and 2009.
Michael has the unique ability to always understand customers' needs, desires and the best way to help them achieve their goals. There is no doubt you are in good hands with Michael.
